The next meeting of the Lanier Striper Club will be on Tuesday, January 3th and will be at the normal location, Roanoke Baptist Church which is located approximately one-half mile west of the dam on Buford Dam Rd. Dinner at 6:30, meeting at 7:00 p.m.
We will be offering dinner for $10 for which you will need to purchase and present a meal ticket in order to eat.

The LSC recently donated fishing equipment to the USACE's project in which they established a catfish pond for people with disabilities to enjoy. Read about it on page 10 of the July 2010 issue of Lakeside News.

The Fun Fest Tournament is now sold out. The Lanier Striper Club would like to thank all those who have registered and look forward to once again having a great time with our fellow striper fishermen in September. If you are interested in getting on the wait list, please go ahead and send in a registration form only, no payment will be required until your reservation is confirmed.

Participation is $200 per boat.
The Tournament's Purpose is to promote fellowship, conservation, education and recreational competition among Lake Sidney Lanier Striped Bass Anglers.

Dear Fun Fest Participant:
The officers and members, along with our presenting sponsor AT&T welcome you to the Annual Lanier Striper Club Fun Fest, a jam-packed, two-day festival consisting of a Captains' Party Friday evening, September 16, with food and goodies; a glorious day of friendly striper fishing on Saturday, September 17 in which 20 boats will bring home the bacon (that's one in three participating boats) and a "knock-your-socks-off" Saturday feeding frenzy coupled with some prizes for the kids! This is the perfect weekend to commune with friends and family and meet some of the finest folks on Lake Lanier.
Our program begins with a Captains' Party on Friday from 7 - 9 p.m. at the amphitheater on Lake Lanier Islands. (Use the Friendship Road - Hwy 347 Exit from Interstate 985). At this event, each captain will be able to mingle with some of the finest striper fishermen on Lake Lanier. Captain, it's rather important that you attend. First, our Tournament Director will review the rules and answer all of your questions. Second, we are planning a great "throw-down" with some fine food - be sure to bring an appetite. We will also be providing two cool fishing shirts to each boat (free). Another thing that you will not want to miss - one of the best striper guides on Lanier will provide all the information needed to make your fishing event a huge success - current fishing conditions and striper catching techniques will be fully disclosed to all Friday evening participants!
Our Saturday fishing event is the highlight of the Fun Fest. Fishing will take place between 7 and 2 p.m. Our simple and straightforward tournament rules will help facilitate a fun day.
After the tournament we will meet at the amphitheater between 4 and 6 p.m. to award tournament winnings and prizes. All children fourteen years or younger will receive a prize at this event. Did we mention that we were going to serve-up another fine meal at our final ceremony?
To participate in the tournament and festival and to help make it the huge success we envision it will be, we ask for your cooperation and assistance.

- Each participant 18 years or older should sign and return the release/indemnification to the address below.
